CP 437183 wood caboose

Canadian Pacific 437183 plywood caboose was built by Canadian Pacific's Angus Shops in Montreal, Quebec in May 1945. The current plywood siding was added later in its life. This caboose was also built in the same series as the Canadian Pacific 437169 caboose (yellow).

This caboose was built during the WWII material rationing period and thus has plywood siding. It also uses Westinghouse K triple valve automatic air brake system. The caboose was used in the Smiths Falls area and is now fully restored and used as a museum work car.
