Artifact Donations
Over the years the Railway Museum has received artifact, archival and library donations from individuals from across Canada who believe in the importance of preserving and showcasing our Canadian and Eastern Ontario railway heritage. Our mandate is to collect, preserve, interpret and display the heritage of railways and railroading in Eastern Ontario. The Museum’s collection focuses on railway equipment, manufacturers, the human element of railroading, the railway industry’s impact on the growth of the area and on the lives of its residents and communities.
The Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario will encourage the preservation of railway heritage in our region. The museum will interpret the industry’s impact on the lives of our residents through well planned public programming, engaging exhibitions and displaying our collection of artifacts.
