We look forward to hosting you in one of our cabooses.
PLEASE NOTE:
Our caboose overnights have become incredibly popular and we do appreciate your interest....but be aware that, in extremes of temperature, your stay may have some challenges. Cabooses are NOT air-conditioned...nor do they have a heating system. Electric fans may provide relief on a warm evening, but with temperatures above the high 20's into the 30's, it gets hot. Please be guided by these facts when you book with us. We'd like your stay to be a comfortable one!
Today, most of us will only see the caboose in a museum, but you have the chance to experience the caboose in its true form. The Railway Museum is pleased to offer the rare opportunity for visitors to sleep in a caboose just as railroaders did.
Step back to the early railroading days, and book an overnight stay in one of our two, authentic cabooses (a 1940s wooden CPR caboose and our 1967s steel CNR caboose) overlooking our picturesque 1912 Canadian Northern Railway station. Curl up in our comfortable pull-down beds with fresh linens, settle back and relax in the quiet glow of the lantern.

Not only is the caboose steel, but it has an axle driver generator underneath, electric windshield wipers, lights, and expanded train crew quarters.
